Garlic

While garlic first appeared in Central Asia and was worshipped by the ancient Egyptians, is it any surprise that enterprising Mexican cooks somehow got their hands on it? After all, Mexican chefs have a talent for finding nutritious foods that also taste incredible, and garlic is no exception. Garlic is believed to prevent heart disease, regulate blood sugar levels, treat the common cold... and as an ingredient, garlic makes just about everything better. We use it in many of our recipes, like our innovative Poblano Pesto.
