THE WORD burrito

Ever wonder where the word burrito comes from?
It literally means "little donkey" in Spanish, coming from burro, which means "donkey".
It has been speculated that the name burrito derives from the similarity in appearance
to the bedrolls and packs that donkeys carried, or less likely, but also considered, is that
burritos look vaguely similar to the ears of the donkey. Not nearly as appetizing, is it?
