Fresh and pickled jalapeños will return to QDOBA restaurants beginning August 24.

SAN DIEGO (August 24, 2026) Beginning August 24, fresh and pickled jalapeños will return to QDOBA restaurants nationwide. This decision follows careful review with our suppliers in keeping with the rigorous standards we require for sourcing, preparing, and serving food in our restaurants.

QDOBA proactively removed fresh and pickled jalapeños from all U.S. restaurants during an active investigation into a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Javiana. Throughout this process, we worked closely with suppliers, distribution partners, and health officials. The FDA and CDC have stated that they do not consider there to be a current ongoing risk from QDOBA restaurants in this outbreak.

Food safety remains our top priority. We will continue to make decisions based on the latest facts and public health guidance while acting quickly whenever guest safety may be impacted.
